20.02.2020 Day 01: Chennai - Indore - Ujjain
Board Flight from Chennai to Indore at 1720 hrs, on arrival at 1935 hrs, proceed to Ujjain and check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
21.02.2020 Day 02: Ujjain Mahakaleswar – Omkareswar – Indore
After an early breakfast, proceed to Mahakaleshwar for Maha Sivaratri Dharshan. Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Jyothirlinga is an ancient city in Madhya Pradesh. The temple is situated on the side of the Rudra Sagar lake. Mahakala Lingam is believed to be Swayambhu (born of itself) deriving currents of power Shakthi) from within itself as against the other images and lingams which are ritually established and invested with mantra-Shakthi.After Dharshan proceeds to ‘Omkareshwar’ Jyothirlinga situated in an Om-shaped island called Mandhata on Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh which is around 80 km from Indore. Sage Agastya crushes the ego of the mighty Vindhya Mountain who was blessed by a boon from Shiva. The Omkareshwar temple is an awe-inspiring three-storied structure supported by huge pillars made up of intricately carved granite stone. After Dharshan returns to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
22.02.2020 Day 03: Indore – Mumbai – Rajkot – Somnath
Early departure to airport to board a flight to Mumbai at 0725 hrs, on arrival at 0840 hrs, board flight to Rajkot at 1125 hrs to arrive at 1230 hrs. On arrival proceed to darshan ‘Somnath’ located near Veraval, Gujarat It is the foremost Jyothirlinga. It is named after the Moon (Soma) who worshipped Shiva to get rid of a curse put on him to regain his light. Return to hotel for Night Stay.
23.02.2020 Day 04: Porbandar - Mumbai – Trimbakeshwar – Nasik
Early drop at Porbandar airport to board the flight at 1110 hrs to Mumbai, on arrival at 1230 hrs proceed to Triambakeshwar a pious temple-town located on the banks of the River Godavari, near Nasik, Maharashtra. It is among the four Hindu cities where the Kumbh Mela is held every 12 years. The entire pantheon of three core Hindu deities including Shiva appeared to see the great penance of Gautam Rishi and his wife Ahilya. Shiva not only granted a Jyothirlinga but also released a stream of the Ganges from his hair locks, now known as the Godavari or Ganga of the South. Proceed to Nasik and check in to the hotel for
dinner and overnight stay.
24.02.2020 Day 05: Nasik – Bhimashankar – Aurangabad
After early breakfast proceed to ‘Bhimashankar’ the sixth Jyothirlinga of Shiva situated on the hills of Sahyadri Range in Maharashtra, 110 km away from Pune. Shiva took a ferocious form and reduced the oppressive demon Bhīma, the son of Kumbhakarna, to ashes and remained here in the form of a Jyothirlinga. After Dharshan proceed to Aurangabad. On arrival check into the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
25.02.2020 Day 06: Grishneshwar – Parli – Aundha Nagnath
After early breakfast proceeds for Dharshan of Grishneshwar ‘Grishneshwar’ Temple is situated in the Verul village near Ellora Caves, 30 km from Aurangabad, Maharashtra. According to a legend, Shiva, pleased by the selfless devotion of Ghushma, revived her son after he was killed by her own sister, Sudha. After Dharshan proceeds to Aundha for darshan of Aundha Nagnath ‘Aundha Nagnath’ is located in Hingoli district of Maharashtra, India. The first temple was constructed by Yudhishthira, eldest of the Pandavas, when they were expelled for 14 years from Hastinapur. After Dharshan proceed to Parli for dinner and overnight stay.
26.02.2020 Day 07: Parli – Hyderabad
After early breakfast check out and proceed to Parli, ‘Parli Vaijnath’ Temple Parli is located in Beed District, Maharashtra. During a severe penance, Ravana offered his heads to Shiva. When he is about to cut off his tenth head, Shiva appears before him and offers him a Jyothirlinga which he can take to Lanka but without placing on the ground anywhere on the way. However, he is tricked by Ganesha and the Linga is installed at the same place at the Parli Vaijnath temple. After Dharshan proceeds to Hyderabad. On arrival check into the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
27.02.2020 Day 08: Hyderabad - Sri Sailam
After early breakfast, proceed to Sri Sailam for Dharshan of Sri Sailam Mallikarjuna Swami, ‘Mallikarjuna Swami’ at Sri Sailam termed as Kashi of the South is located in Srisailam, 215 km from Hyderabad along the banks of Krishna river. Legend has it that Shiva and Parvathi descended to this place to appease an agitated Kartikeya. Check into the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
28.02.2020 Day 09: Sri Sailam – Hyderabad – Chennai/Madurai/Coimbatore
Early departure (0500 hrs) to Hyderabad airport to board flights to hometown.
