30.03.20: Bangalore – Chitradurga-Sirsi
On arrival at Bangalore proceed to Chitradurga, built between the 10th and 18th centuries by the kings of various dynasties during that period. Chitradurga Fort also called Kallina Kote or Yelu Suttina kote (in Kannada language) because it comprises a series of seven enclosure walls. 18 ancient temples can be found inside the fort. This seemingly impregnable fort has 19 gateways, 38 posterior entrances, a palace, a mosque, granaries, oil pits, four secret entrances and water tanks. After the visit proceed to Sirsi and check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
31.03.20 Sirsi –Sahasralinga – Badami
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Sahasralinga On arrival check into to hotel for fresh up and proceed to Sahasra Linga. The place is unique because the lingas are situated on the rocks of the river Shalmala. Sahasra translates to 'thousand', meaning thousand lingas were carved on the rocks. It is believed to have more than one lakh Shiva lingas each with a carving of the Nandi. A visit to Sahasralinga will engulf your mind with the serenity of nature and divinity in full. Later proceed to Badami. Badami was formerly known as Vatapi, was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from 540 to 757 AD. On arrival Check in hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
01.04.20: Badami – Pattadakal - Aihole - Kudalasangama - Mahakuta -Badami.
After early breakfast proceed to Pattadakal, a UNESCO world heritage site, well known for Chalukya monuments, visit Banashankari Temple,
Mahakuta(Mahakuteshwara Temple). Then proceed to visit Aihole, a popular tourist spot known for Chalukyan architecture, with about 125 stone temples dating from 5th century CE.
Later proceed to Kudalasangama, the Aikya Mantapa or the holy Samādhi of Basavanna, the founder of the
Lingayath faith along with Shiva Linga, which is believed to be self-born (Swayambhu), is here. Post lunch return to Badami, on arrival at Badami, visit
famous rock cut structural temples. Evening return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
02.04.20: Badami -Hampi – Hospet
After Breakfast, proceed to Hampi, one of the most
visited tourist places of Karnataka. Known for exquisite temples, the ruins of famous monuments are built during the Vijayanagara empirical rule. The ruins are a UNESCO World Heritage Site Visit (Virupaksha Temple, Kadale Kalu Ganesha, Sasive Kalu Ganesha, Krishna Temple, Lakshmi Narasimha, Badavi Linga,Sister Stones, Underground Temple, Mint House, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Hazara Rama Temple, Palace Area, Mahanavami Dibba, Queen's Bath). After Lunch visit Vijaya Vittala Temple (Stone Chariot), King's Balance, Purandara Mantapa, Old Pillar Bridge. If time permits, proceed to visit Tungabhadra Dam, constructed across the Tungabhadra River. Evening, return to the hotel and overnight stay in the hotel.
03.04.20: Hospet -Hampi-Hospet
Early departure to the Tungabhadra Ghat allotted for the Pushkaram, perform rituals and take holy dip at the Tungabhadra. After Dharshan if time Permits visit Local Important Temples.Evening back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
04.04.20 Hospet–Nava Brindavanam – Anegundi – Mantralayam
After breakfast visit Anegundi called Kishkindha, the
kingdom of monkeys. Sugriva after defeating his evil brother Bali with the help of Lord Rama, established justice and order in the city and ruled there. Visit
Gagan Palace, Chintamani, Navabrindavanam, Ranganath Temple, Huchappayana Mat, Durga Temple, fort, Pampa Sarovar Laxmi Temple (Lake), Hanuman Temple. Proceed to Mantralayam and check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
05.04.20 Mantralayam– Alampura - Kurnool
After breakfast procced to Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt. Mantralayam is a small and peaceful town situated on the banks of the River Tungabhadra. Sri Guru Raghavendra took Jeeva Samadhi (tomb) here where he lived between 1595 and 1671. After Dharshan proceed to visit Panchamukha Anjeneyaswamy temple. After Dharshan proceed to Kurnool visit Jogulambha Temple at Alampur, a Shakthi Peet. Alampur is the meeting point of the sacred rivers Tungabhadra and Krishna and is referred to as Dakshina Kashi(also known as Navabrahmeshwara Theertha). Proceed to Kurnool and board train to Chennai /Madurai
